SteveF
Soon to take delivery of the engine for my 'winter project' which will have to undergo SVA eventually - the donor is a 2000 vehicle. It'll be running the original fuel injection system, but I may need need bin the original ECU - depending on whether I can get all the inputs dummied or get them to work correctly. Will I need to fit a catalytic converter, or is it likely to pass the emission regs without one? I need to know quickly, as the rest of the donor is about to be crushed! Thanks
JonnyBoy
i dont think you can get through emmisions without a cat with such a late engine.. so you would need one. are you underslinging your exhaust?...a standard cat might look a bit odd with a side exit exhaust! Matt Seabrook
You are going to need a cat for sure with a 2000 engine
