Isn't the proven age of the engine a consideration, or is that just for Q regd cars?

yes the age of the engine is a considering factor, for any car Q or otherwise but swansea in there infinate wisdom have decieded that this engine requires the co content to be no more than 4.5% which again is a big plus factor, dont you think,, cheers

Err, nope. That only applies to the engine currently fitted. If, for example, a more modern engine were fitted, the emissions should be tested to whatever is older, (registration date of) car, or engine... <!--emo&;)

yes stu you are right but if you dont mind IM ONLY SELLING MY CAR , NOT MOT TESTING IT,

Who cares about the emissions - it's a great looking car - good luck with the sale.

I do mind when 'untruths' (through ignorance or otherwise) quoted in an advert may persuade a fellow member to buy a car that they might not have considered otherwise.

Good luck with the sale - nice looking car ;)  :t-up:

thanks cleggy, you are probably right , a lot of time went into making this right { being my first westfield build }, but being a bit of a porky 6 ft guy i need that extra bit of room , so needs must, a wide body it must be , i will say one thing though since joining the westfield club and attending the local meetings and events ive had a lot of help and very good advice from many fellow members , nothing was too much trouble,  it makes it all worth while , great club

Unfortunately not Shakey, have sprinted it over the last four years with some notable success in the speed series, maybe 200 miles tops.

This year done one track day which cost me a major, full and I mean full engine rebuild by Stanwood Performance Engines, following the sump baffles becoming detached and causing oil starvation through surge.

Positive side the engine should make 140bhp + when run in with the BCF3 cam and comprehensive rebuild.

Since then the car has covered about 80 miles, still has the Millers running in oil in it and if it makes 200 before the tax runs out in September I will be surprised.

Just sits in the garage taking up space and money!!

Shame really as the car does have a pedigree though,  the original builder Aldon Automotive and then Mac 1 Motorsport.

It's one of those should I keep it or should I sell it. What replacement. TVR, Boxter and will I have the spare time to drive them?

Not depreciating while sitting in the garage, you I am sure can relate to the circle!!!
