Matt Seabrook Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I think he can get the fitness back may be not for Spain but I am sure with his determination it will come. After all he still works out every day even though its not the same as the F1 work outs he used to do. Quote
Carl Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Somebody as fit and competitive as MS will be well up for it. However if the 1st race goes badly for whatever reason I can't see him continuing for the rest of the season. Quote
FW500 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I reckon he will do well - he's got enormous talent as a driver, can test a car that's very close to this years spec and spend hours in the simulator of this years car. His fitness is the only question. Awesome to see the greatest F1 driver ever back. Totally agree. People will always argue about who's the greatest but IMO he really is and for him to return to the sport is the best surprise I've had all year. I'm now looking for tickets for Spa in the expectation he'll be driving there too. Quote
Carl Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5464016,00.htmlnull He's taking it very seriously! (interested side step regarding the testing ban) Quote
nikpro Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 His neck strength will be the major concern; it's a muscle group he won't have trained since leaving F1 and three weeks is short order to build it up! Quote

Darrell O'Neill Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Well, its going to be great for F1 no doubt about it. He certainly is one of the all time great drivers. Be even better for me to see the cheating, bad losing, german swine beat by the brits... Quote

Well if the current British world champion is anything like the last British world champion he had to contend with, I don't see him having too much to worry about. Quote
thos Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 He's already back cheating again!! He will be allowed to test the current '09 spec F60!! FOTA have said Yes, now up to the FIA to agree. http://f1.gpupdate.net/en....er-test Quote

FW500 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Nice one! Can't work out how that's cheating though. Quote
matt_c Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I seriously doubt the FIA will approve that. Willing to be proven wrong though. Quote
neilb Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 funny how last week a lot was made of the new str driver not being able to test the car, and whats this about ferrari not making there own cars! wasnt the main reason prodrive were not allow into F1 Quote
thos Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Nice one! Can't work out how that's cheating though. Because testing is banned!? Quote
