matt_c Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 As others have said, Bernard must be loving it. If we are taking bets, I'll bet on MS actually being on the grid for the next race, I have no doubt about this. Quote
Tigger Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 b****y hope not. I've never been a huge Schumacher fan but I think his return will be interesting. I Agree Quote
housebeautician Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 i reckon the best thing the other teams can do is fit all round bumpers on their cars. they wont look as pretty but they will stand half a chance of getting round with him on the track 0ne other thing is, general rule is that when someone slams into the back of you its their fault. so regardless weather dc lifted deliberatly or not ms should have been paying attention. Hurry up and get well massa Quote
V 8 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Schuey was showing his age in his last season of racing, he was struggling to keep on the pace and making a lot of mistakes. Second in the championship, 13 points behind Alonso and 41 points in front of Massa in third. 7 race wins, and two of them in the last 3 races. Not sure what you mean Bernie Roll on Valencia. Looking forward to it Quote

davidgh Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Selective memory is being operated here. Ayrton slammed into the back of Brundle in the wet once -- he was going around 30mph faster and trying to guess where the other drivers were. He also was no respecter of others, but everyone thinks he was a god. He was simply a focussed winning machine with immense talent. As for Schumi: 40 years old, a little heavier than before (if the Stig pictures can be believed), reasonably fit but not having done serious neck work for some time, not having driven a F1 car in anger for almost three years, and not having driven without "driver aids" for almost ten years -- if he finishes mid-field or better I'll be deeply impressed. Looking forward to it Stats dont tell the whole story , he knew he was rapidly approaching his sell by date so quit before he really got wupped by the new kids , just was not the driver he used to be If he does come back Ill bet money he gets spanked , I would love for him to prove me wrong, but it wont happen. Otherwise Its a great publicity stunt . We all have to take a back seat sometime Tommo even you getting shop soiled nowadays P.S I'm assured I'm at minimum safe distance from any retalitary physical stuff Quote

nikpro Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I reckon he will do well - he's got enormous talent as a driver, can test a car that's very close to this years spec and spend hours in the simulator of this years car. His fitness is the only question. Awesome to see the greatest F1 driver ever back. Quote
pistonbroke Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Greatest Ever ? Well he certainly knows how to win races by any means possible Quote
