Tim Reid
I have just bought an RAC bar but without any bolts. Does anyone have a set kicking about? OR could tell me the sizes I need to order from McGillMotorsports on ebay? I need: 2 rose joints (top of stays) 2 bolts for rose joints (top of stays) Washers? (top of stays) plastic caps for bolts (top of stays) 2 bolts (bottom of stays) Washers? (bottom of stays) 6 bolts, nuts, and washers for foot plates Oddly my bar doesn't use rose joints on the bottom end of the stays unlike this pic... Cleggy the Spyder Man
nowt special about these bolts ... as long as they are high tensile they should do the job Just take one of the back bars with you for the size and the lengths you need and go to a local place that specialises in fasteners best use capped head bolts (allen key type) for the loop as these look much better and standard bolts with shank for the rest ... use lock nuts all round I apologise if this was obvious to you the nut caps you should be able to get from the same place this will probably be a lot cheaper that just leaves the rose joints to get ... why not get em straight from westfield, least yer know your gonna get the correct ones
Tim Reid
that just leaves the rose joints to get ... why not get em straight from westfield, least yer know your gonna get the correct ones I called them and they sell them for £21 each. You can buy the same ones for £8 so I am feeling tight. When you say your "local place that specialises in fasteners" I don't know any that are specialised enough to stock high tensile stuff. Any idea what I should be searching for on Yell?

a4gom
Type in industrial fastners or nut and bolt supplier, there has to be some local trade supplies near by. If your stuck think of a company locally who would buy bolts for use in the business and knock on the door and ask where they get them from. I only live in a small town and we have at least 3 I know of.
Cleggy the Spyder Man
fair enough about the rose joints any nut and bolt supplier will sell high tensile bolts - there is nothing specialised or exclusive about high tensile search in yell for Engineers' Supplies; Fixings & Fastenings + your town/city - in Peterborough we have 3-4 that I can think of without even looking on yell
