pistonbroke Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 fantastic result Button was class of the field RB need shooting for leaving Vetel sat behind Messer Ferrari need shootng Hammy lost out loads at T1 demolition derby must have cost him 5 places Best bit Alonso v Webber Quote
jeff oakley Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 It just shows to me the differance a good car makes. Last year when it was the Hamilton love in, no one doubted his skill but he was in a top car Button on the other hand has been in a dog of a car for years by comparison. Now the tables have turned he is looking as ordinary as the other drivers do. It is sad in many ways but that is the reality of the sport, top drivers do not always get top cars. The Kers really is a waste of time for me as the starts are dominated by Kers cars, if you saw Massa once up to 100kph he hit the button and flew down the start straight, sort of messes up the order that they worked hard to get in qualifying Quote

Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Ferrari need shootng They done that to them selves....... just shows who ran that team............. Mr Brawn!!! without him their rubbish I think M.S should stay around for Ferrari, as they always do s***e when he's there Quote
FW500 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Nice one Jenson! I'm so glad he's driving well in this improved car and such a nice bloke too. Ferrari were dismal again and I really felt sorry for Massa but finishing ahead of Hamilton despite coasting for about 4 laps was mildly encouraging. Quote
Bananaman Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Have to agree with jeff, i'm not a fan of the kers watsit...... Good race though and well done JB.... Quote

He SHOULD have been slower over the last 4-6 laps and wouldnt have had to slow anywhere near as much as he did which would have probably seen him keep 4th. Really please for Button and hope he keeps the winning streak all the way to the end of the season. Quote
ludo Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 and what about rubens, what a nice and well known feeling to be f*cked up by your own team to allow the team principal's favorite to win! lol Quote

He was getting progressively slower over at least the last 4 laps. I really doubt he'd have kept 4th in any case - Vettel was all over the back of him as it was and backing off any more and he'd have lost 4th instantly. Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Watched the race last nite when I got home well right up to lap 18. we'd had a power cut (2 hours apprently)and it didn't finish copying the race or the forum after. Just watched the 18 laps on the highlights show from bbc 3 last night, which was s***e! It only covered 7 laps and a bit of chat afterwards and that was it Got to say Webbers over taking move on Alonso at the start was pretty cool altho' he did put Alonso on the grass but he kept his boot fully in! Really pleased for Button altho' I felt sorry for Hamo when he was lapped by Jenson... not good for any world champions ego! Buzz Quote

Rubi can over drive his cars and some cars jsut don't respond to over agressiveness or the curved ball a duff set of tyres Buzz Quote
