MX5 wiring reduction question

Hi,

I'm busy neatening up my loom and pulling wires.

I've asked this on the fmwestfield forum, but still not sure.

Any UK builders out there know if i can remove this heat sink thingy?

it's on the left side of the car close to the loom that goes to the left headlight, amd is apparently part of the 'daytime running lights'

Hummm, I haven't got one of them on mine ???  ???  If you can let me know what the colours of the wires are, the age of the donor and whether it's a 1.6 or 1.8 and I'll check my folder of MX5 electrical diagrams and see if the whole thing can be removed and the wires pulled to save some weight.

Edit to add you may find this site useful for wiring diagrams.

Thanks for.the input chaps.

I'll get the wire colours this evening.

Gary,

did you remove the whole 'sub system' wires and all? or did you have to connect the two wires together, to complete the circuit?

We had already fitted that part of the loom to the car through the scuttle before we realised we didn't need it. So the wiring is still on the car just not plugged into the heat sink thingy, which I believe is for the motors on the pop up headlights.
