jeff oakley Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 If I was Croft owners now I would be busy doing a pre pack insolvancy so these people don't get a penny and have to pay their own legal bills. It would not surprise me if Croft closes and surprise surprise someone local with lots of money buys the whole lot and then suddenly stops moaning! The bitter divorce scenario looks plausible allegedly Quote
slippy Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 More eveidence of the nanney state gone mad, the circuit was there first and before that an airfield if I was that bothered about f**king noise pollution I wouldn't buy a property next to a f**king race track goodness me I wonder whats involved with putting together an online petitiion Quote
combatsapph Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 If it closes I'm gonna rag my car up and down their driveway at 2am* *Obviously joking, that would just be irresponsible. Quote
Bronco Jr Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The guys at croft told me something was going on last time I was there. Presumably the "value" of the houses goes up if theres no circuit, and as has been posted earlier the site predates all the houses there anyhow Its a bag of Sh*te, is there nothing sacred.... Quote
slippy Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Weekly drive by's would be suitable payback, maybe even hold our local Westy meets nearby Quote
MK11 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 *Obviously joking, that would just be irresponsible. I agree it would be irresponsible, you need to do a series of static tests to clear the carbs of some debris. That way there is no way you would be accused of racing, speeding or any other heinous crime. It may even become apparent that that particular stretch of road is debris covered resulting in large numbers of people suffering from similar symptoms..... Quote

tex Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 the house is set well back from the main road so they wont hear a thing i doubt... b*****ds - dont you just hate people like this who would put other locals out of jobs - just to be awkward to her ex.. bet they are barred from the pub in dalton.. bet few of her neighbours start losing jobs directly relating to this selfish action why couldnt noise barriers be erected? *Emma* Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 If Croft has to close, perhaps we should write to Darlington Council suggesting that perhaps the site should be used for a "new town" with plenty of social housing provision, drive thru McDonald's, and a vast, largely empty trading estate for the locals to use for joy-riding and impromptu drag-racing events. Bones Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Anybody know if there's any substance to this or just the usual knitting circle chit chat Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 It's obviously serious, but reading Andrew's earlier post not over yet. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some sense to show through. Or of course some of the smoggy guys might take it on themselves to go round there and intimidate them a bit, failing that Bump em off. Seeing as how their addresses are now well know. Quote
reaper Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I think I'm gonna have to pop over and have a chat. See if I've still got a job. Quote
jeff oakley Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 There is damm good reason to make life difficult for these moaners but unfortunatly they have enough grasp of the law and wonga that they would bring the full weight of the law down on anyone who did such a thing. They are typically selfish people who want their own way regardless of who it hurts. They value their own life above anyone else and to hell with who it hurts. The more this happens the more peole will chance their arm, Castle Coombe, Elvington have all got restriction due to outsiders and Donnington beggers belif that they have to wait for planes to pass before doing sound tests. The system is stacked against anything to do with motors, 4X4 banned from green lanes etc is another example, it is wrong so wrong. Quote

Is it not the case that local authorities must, by law, make provision for permanent sites for the 'travelling community'? What is better than a large level piece of ground? Quote
