cast iron Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 The locals have apparently won their court case and are looking for approx £150,000 each in compensation and further noise reductions are to be impossed. The circuit is said to generate £3million for local buisneses. In a last gap attemp, the circuit is apealing in the high court - fingers crossed for common sense Quote

KerryS Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 First I have heard of this but I bet some/all protesters have moved near since circuit was in use. Same thing happened at Ipswich showground, been there for ages with yearly dog events, then they build new houses nearby and protests about noise appear. What do these folks ever do for fun? Can we find out and protest against it..... Sadly common sense is in short supply these days..... Quote

Major Stare Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Why move to a house close to the circuit, then complain about the noise. I wouldnt move to house near Gatwick then protest about the aircraft noise, or move to near a school and moan about the kids. Its not even a constant noise (like an airport), Croft dont race all hours of the day night and 7 days a week. Quote
