Dont worry about the Logs I will take them Ps. The scrapper looks better all in one piece , just hope it performs as well Quote
Pilot Pete Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Bit of a bum day today. The weather was right although a little cold. Unfortunatly the scrap didn't seem to want to work, it would take off ok, then get up to so many revs then die. I was gutted, was really looking forward to driving it. We'll see if we can rectify it for next weekend. Thanks to bob for the lend of the carb and bumper. On the plus side the one time it did work, the cap said it felt plenty quick enough to have fun on. Had a few problems with the birel as well. The clutch bell sprocket lunched itself, we think its down to that chain being the wrong one. Anyway, I had resorted to taking it home until my saviour came to the rescure, evo mark had a spare sprocket! Banged it on and away she went. I think I'm gonna build up a spares package, definitly going to get another chain this week. Only consolation throughout the day was that I broke into the 49's and was consistently hitting them in the middle stint, my fastest being a 49.760. Tbh it didn't feel all that quick so I think I've been well into the 49's before. Quote
JeffC Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 aye twas cowld this morning.. dunno what to make of today really, on the limited track time I had today no progress from me.. very happy with the kids performance they are coming on each week, unless they feared nessys slipper and didnt dare dissapoint Ryan consistant at 55 and broke into the 54s once. Dan was consistant at 52 and a few in the 51s with a 51.4 best , I do think Dan is struggling with grip due to his lack of weight as the tyres were cold after a 20min sesion Big public apology to Mark for bending his Kart, couldnt do anything about when the boy spun in front of me was unavoidable Quote
evo-mark Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 no worries Jeff after all you have offered to fix it I saw the incident as me and the kids were on bank just a bit bad luck really feeling more sorry for myself than the kart TBH defo cracked a rib fookin herts Quote
JeffC Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 bend it mend it rules apply, will be taking it out the boys pocket money of the next 3 years though I did a rib last year when I brayed Oggy off the circuit, bad news was though it pained me for over a month I learnt my lesson that day, Pain isnt worth £30 to prevent it Rib protectors are the best money spent, I had 2 fairly big impacts today side on and am ok Quote
boblog Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Found it hard to be consistent today, pleased with kart, just need some fine tuning I think then it is there, will also get new rubber for next time as I am not convinced with tyres I am running either. Had fun tho which is the main thing!!! Quote
Pilot Pete Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 A bit of footage, not too exciting. Can see Rich could do with doing something with his engines. Quote
Scottish Bloke Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Can see Rich could do with doing something with his engines. Think it's down to the 17 stone 2 pund and having had a look on the trailer, I don't think it was getting full throttle, still a good laugh tho. Easily a lot more weight could come off, me and the kart Quote

Easily a lot more weight could come off, me and the kart Pete reckoned it didn't want to rev, when he had a go. Lack of full throttle could be the problem.. You did win the prize for hottest tyres though Rich! Quote

As when I drove it, me dad flew past me like I was standing still, that shouldn't happen . look at the vid where I chase ross, on the straights there's nowt in it really. Quote
