westfield_bumble Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Was at warden law today and he was saying converting to the gx390 was a mare. new engines about £400 then needs a different clutch to the gx160 and its about £170. Been clearing space in garage think i can squeeze a kart in. Will be ringing tinside tomorrow to enquire. Cant play sunday though anyone out a week on sunday as its the only one i can do this year Quote

I am confused, when they said you had to "shift the weight" I thought there would have been a bit more of your kart left or am I missing something I have got ene or several in the garage if you wanted something like that come to think of it Quote

Pilot Pete Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I think we'll be collecting scrap on saturday, so might have to give this one a miss, was thinking I wouldn't make this one anyway. I was really wanting a day to tinker with it. I can guarantee Jeff will all of a sudden found a heap of pace and I definatley wouldn't have caught him on saturday etc etc! I have questions for said scrap project: 1) To jeff, what temperature do you really need the room to be if I wanted to paint the chassis (dont think I will, but you never know). 2) Are the briggs engines deffo 14hp, and what torque figure do they have?
