Car is basedf in Shrewsbury and thet guy sent me this:

Car came to me as a write off ( just a wing and steering arm) we have

totally stripped the inside and 2 buckets fitted with GOOD OMP qwick release

harnesses, last year a later non tvis engine was fitted and a pair of 40

webers to give a good bark and power upgrade, mallory hi fire ignition and

facet red top pump with regulator and filter, alloy catch tank, full

janspeed system and dropped 40mm all round with later uprated front brakes,

full custom weld in cage made by a local fabricator, wheels are with full

yoko slicks and full yoko wets.

The full package just go trackdaying or racing

sounds to me like a car some bloke has chucked a few bits in .....

I'd at least want to seam weld the shell as well as putting the cage in ....

Is your seam welded pete?

An old CRX racer has many benefits , seam welded cage , no underseal etc ....

I think my car is a bit like slippy's corrolla, its had a prang and someones turned it into a racecar.

Agreed, a CRX challenge car is the answer, its just finding one! :(

Must admit, the "custom cage made by a local fabricator" puts me off if you want to race it. I would maybe see if you can get a "scrute" to check it over. Dont want to be lasing out £700 or whatever it would be for another rollcage! Apart from that, it sounds a nice car!  :t-up:

The one I saw at cadwell in the paddock looked a bit of a weapon.

Cheers Perksy

Harv agreed a CRX racer would be an ideal and relatively ceap little weapon as Pete suggest they are rarer than a geordie lass with a full set of teeth

You are not seriously telling me that the the MSA scrutineers in your championship allow that type of scrap to pass and actually race are you :bangshead:  :bangshead: They should all be banned and thrown on the scrap heap, if you want to race SAFELY, it does not want to be "home made", all of these cars are 100mph plus so surely nothing but the best should pass.

I have seen it on both counts where a car has passed scutineering, crashed and then organisers being sued as the said vehicle should not have passed, then on the other side of the coin I have seen people going mad because there car has failed for being a death trap

Cage can be made by any tom dick and harry as long as it agree's with the blue book I guess! ;) All cage's are fabricated, you'd just have to go and see whats in the tin. The rest of the car looks ok to me  ???  :suspect:

Slipp, that fezza coule be the kiddie, already has your engine in it! :t-up:
