slippy
Classic Rally Cars in a Classic forest TOUR OF HAMSTERLEY We'll be there marshalling Stockton & District Motor Club on behalf of The Teesside Motor Sports Group are pleased to announce that Tour of Hamsterley has been reborn and will run on Sunday 14th September 2008. Overview: Approx 43 Stage Miles all within the Hamsterley Forest Complex (map 92, County Durham) with no public road mileage (and minimal link sections). Several sections of stage have not used since the RAC of old. Start and finish in the forest but with prize presentation bash at a venue close by. We have taken the decision to bring back the dying art of map reading on stages and the event will be based on maps only – no notes – A full colour map book at 1:25,000 scale will be provided. Seven Stages with centralised servicing. We aim to take on board all of the comments good and bad from previous events to promote a well run stage event – the ONLY time the forest will be used this year for rallying. A round of the SG Petch ANECCC Stage Rally Championship 2008.
