Hi people sorry for the following simple question but i just cannot see how it is supposed to work!

Bought pair of engine mounts from Westfield for new Zetec conversion.  Recieved pair of mounts as in photo.

One on the left great, three bolts, flat to the block.

One on the right?? 4 bolts, fine found those but will sit at 45 degrees?

can anyone post some photos to show it in the car?

do i need an extra bracket?

Here's a picture of mine on a new 2.0l Zetec Blacktop. I had to modify it a bit as my raceline sump doesn't sit flush with the block. its got knobbly bits!

Regards

Ken.

Yep thats it, the angled pedestal used to be welded to the chassis, now it's bolted on, just something else for them to forget to put in the box  ;)

They were bolted on to the early narrows too, so they've gone full circle...

And make sure you lag that starter and solenoid or the heat from the exhaust headers will destroy the insulation on the windings, leaving you with starting problems.

New Zetec is in - at last!

However the RH engine mount doesnt line up with the mounting plate on the chassis

Photobucket

Can anyone post a photo of their mount?

Does this look right? Have Westfield sent me the wrong one - looks like it should be angled back toward the foot well?

Any help is much appreciated  :bangshead:

Solved - it is due to an older chassis with a narrow tunnel, engine is further forward than on the newer cars.

Cut and shut it is then!
