Pilot Pete Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Ladies & Gents. Just bought GT Legends, excellent game. I currently use a logitech steering wheel which is great, but it loses calibration on the pedals very quickly, like withing 5-10 minutes!. This is the 2nd Logitech wheel I've had that does this. Anyone else find this, or can anyone recommend a wheel? This looks good, but I think its a modified logitech. Any suggestions? Quote
funbobby Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Dont know what your looking for Pilot but if you remember that racing simulator I brought to the xmas party two years ago its sat in my garage looking for a new home. Comes with wheel and pedals. 100 notes and its yours? You even get a spanking new Cobra Monaco! Quote

Nothing modified about that wheel from what i can see... i have a logitech G25 (the same as that) and its ace! But don't think a new wheel will end all your problems... my G25 has developed a habit of recalibrating itself to read 50% throttle halfway through different stages on Richard Burns Rally. If you redetect the controller everything goes back to normal for a few minutes. I haven't had time to fix the problem yet, but i have given it some thinking time... i think that the problem occurred when i installed a realflight controller and flight sim program and moved the connection to the USB on the front of my machine. I will be looking at driver issues and returning the connection to the rear of the machine before blaming the hardware... maybe a similar approach will work for you??? I am not trying to deter you from buying a G25 though... i am really impressed with mine and i think it was £130ish well spent! Tim Quote
Darren B Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I've got one of these: Logitech Momo racing force feedback wheel It's the next one down from the G25 in the range and works very well. I will admit that I would get a G25 if I had the money to spare, but it wasn't out when I got mine and I can't afford to switch. Quote

It does the job but loses calibration quickly, do you have the same problem? Thanks for the offer bob, dont think I was at that xmas party, otherwise I would have wooped you all! I dont have any room really for a simulator style thing that I think your talking about. Quote
pistonbroke Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I used the momo racing with GPL for about 6 months and had no probs with calibration . I have the G25 now and cant honestly say the wheel is any better , in fact I think of the two I prefared the momo wheel . The G25 pedals are somethin else though Quote
Charles King Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I've had the Logitech Red MOMO, DFP and G25 The G25 was by far the best and I regret selling it (thinking of buying another one!) Quote
