adamnreeves Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Got your attention! Did you think Westfield had been sold! nope other way round, Potenza has acquired GTM here Quote
Club Chairman (Reserve) Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 It's good News all round See Here Quote
KerryS Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Frank Turner was talking to a few of us at the Donington show and was saying that there were aquisistions in the pipeline and that the visionwas for a range of sports cars from introductory to supercar sort-of-thing. Not quite sure whether GTM is above or below WF in the pecking order Though I have always liked them and thought they were well done and stylish cars. Quote
cast iron Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 GTM are Superb IMHO a mate has one it flys and has a roof Quote
scott beeland Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Ooh I can see the future Boghouse motor coming out of this Visit back down to the Factory in order for the new year I think audi Turbo/ type r powered Libra Quote
Rory's Dad Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 That explains why a nice looking GTM was at the factory for evaluation back in October (IIRC) an everyone was being a bit 'cagey' Rory's Dad Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 QUOTE Ooh I can see the future Boghouse motor coming out of this Well there's a flucking suprise Quote
DutchWestfield Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 audi Turbo/ type r powered Libra Like this one?? Clicky I think Westfield is a better home for the Libra and Spyder than the previous owners were. Having owned both I hope that both Westfield and GTM will benefit from this. Quote
Charles King Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Do Potenza know what they've done, One of my best mates has had a GTM Rossa, which was a complete pile of rubbish, I spent more time fixing it for him than he spent driving it. So after a year he gave up on it and bought a GTM Spyder, according to GTM this is the best Spyder they have ever made, all the staff know the name of the previous owner instantly because he inspected each stage of the factory build, and it has literally every possible upgrade they do (plus some they don't). And I still spend more time fixing it than he spends driving it! Quote
Paul M Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Interesting, being thinking about a type R powered Libra spider as my next project Quote
Paul Drawmer Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 As a GTM owner I really welcome this news. GTM as a marque have been allowed to wither somewhat under the ownership of RDM. I feel that ownership by Potenza will do GTM more good than harm. I enjoy my car - I do think the Libra and Spyder are excellent machines, and struggle to equate what I know about the design with the comments expressed by Charles King, unless that is a reflection of the build quality that RDM achieved on their turnkey cars. Mikey91 Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I,ve always liked the Libre and the wife does too (coz its got a roof on it) maybe we will get a cross between both just for the wife (I dont think) Westfield mucks her hair upand at £50 a bl***y fortnight it might be a cheap option over time!!!! Charles King Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I really don't know, I tried to stop him but he wouldn't listen. I must admit I do love the looks of it, it sounds nice and it's pretty quick (when it starts) but he's using it as his only car and it's just so unreliable. Quote
cast iron Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Charles I really think your mate is in a minority. My mates motor is prety damn good, the owners club whilst sparce all sing the praises. Quote
