Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Is that like a Phoetus, but in Essex speak? Nick M Which school. If it was Moulsham Lodge, I pro'bly tried to run you over on your way to the shops after school Quote
Mrs Westy Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 I didn't pull Mrs W in there though - couldnt she was in on the over 30's nights How can this be? Am I going backwards? Dukes is restyled as Dukes Genesis and the pub at the front (the Rendezvous?) has also changed name, can't remember what to though. Gone all posh with patio heaters and stuff. Blatters, I'm sure you will be devastated to discover that the Prince of Orange is no more a biker pub, but an Irish theme pub called O'Connors Quote
Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Gutted. It was a pretty rough place though, so ideal for us rough biker types...... The pub in front of Dukes was indeed called The Rendevous.......... Happy days.................. I love Essex girls......... Quote
Nick M Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 I went to King Edward VI Grammar School. On Broomfield Road. Near the County High School for Girls... Quote
Mrs Westy Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 I ffffink that the Rendezvous is now called Sidewalk. Anyone know for sure? Blatters have u been to Chelmsford recently? It's probably changed beyond all recognition, specially since it's got ruffians like the Westy's livin nearby. They've knocked Bolingbroke & Wenley down y'know, now it's a big glass fronted H&M Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 Although born in Chelmsford I grew up in Witham. Chelmsford was just a place for wild drinking and crazy nights out - once we got enough pocket money to get the train up there One of my claims to fame is standing on the edge of the station platform and puking over the Braintree line while entire 12 carriage train of commuters got off and watched in horror.... terribly p****d Quote
Mrs Westy Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 One of my claims to fame is standing on the edge of the station platform and puking over the Braintree line while entire 12 carriage train of commuters got off and watched in horror.... terribly p****d ..I recall the incident. I was livin' in Chelmsford and got a drunken phone call "HELLO I've JUST THROWN UP OVER THE BRAINTREE BRANCH LINE" "That's nice, dear. Why don't you run along now and ring me tomorrow when you're sober" Click brrrr..... Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 Problem is this now happens every Tuesday night when the britney spears lookalike talent is on parade....four stellas your safe 5 you will be worshipping the porcelain god. Thats why I only go for 4 to keep valuable browny points Quote
Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 IIRC, Broomfield Road was the road runing to the South or East of the Moulsham area........... I was in Chelmsford last year, although I didn't get further than the industrial estate near the Marconi roundabout. I was picking up some accessories for my spa from a company called American Dream......... Perhaps I'll come up for a visit one sunny Sunday, and have a nose round.......... Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 come along the mrs will cook you some grub...actually was planning on having a bbq at some point and was going to invite everyone on here thats in the area....will get that sorted. Quote
Mrs Westy Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 was picking up some accessories for my spa from a company called American Dream......... Weren't they the people that put the spa into the series 1 big brother house? Has anyone else noticed that this entire thread, obviously apart from the opening gambit, is absolutely nothing to do with the subject stated?! Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 excuse me gents - what time are you picking me up from work Mrs? Quote
Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Yep, that's them. It's a tenuous claim to fame, and one which I'm not rushing to tell folk about, 'cos I think BB is the biggest load of b*****k* on TV. That and RI:SE, also on Channel 4...... Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 'cos I think BB is the biggest load of b*****k* on TV. I'll second that - people need to get on with there own lifes not watch other peoples Quote
