Boyband_Pete Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Westy, where do live in Essex, I found Dukes in Chelmsford, quite good as is the Hyperdrome in Colchester. As for the mith of the easy Essex girl I think your right about the nice cars, because lived there for 25 years. Maybe I need under body lighting and a big bass box in the boot, why not a big rear wing while you are at it Quote
Mrs Westy Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Dukes in Chelmsford *ahem* I have been known to visit this establishment in the dim and distant past. It's not called Dukes anymore y'know? Quote
Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Aaaahhhhh Dukes..........many a happy memory from there. I used to live in Chelmsford, y'know.............. What's Dukes called now, and is it still full of easily impressed teenage girls? Quote
Nick M Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Did you Blatters ?? Blimey, small world. I went to school there, and worked there for a while. Dukes was generally an amusing night out !! Quote
Blatman Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 Yep. For a few years, from when I was 20ish to when I was 24ish, IIRC, that'll be 1984-1988........I used to hang out with the bikers at the Prince of Orange, and lived on Moulsham Lodge. Quote
westy Posted July 30, 2002 Author Posted July 30, 2002 rrr Dukes - pulled my first bird in there (when they had a KFC outlet inside) Dukes (or Pukes depending on how much booze you had) was great when I went at *ahem* under 16 years of age, monday night they played house and a bit of jungle music to finish it off - those where the days. Many a time did we miss the last train back from the station and have to seriously consider an expensive taxi or a long walk down the A12. I didn't pull Mrs W in there though - couldnt she was in on the over 30's nights Quote
Nick M Posted July 30, 2002 Posted July 30, 2002 So, about the time I was going to school there then Quote
