Matt I will be in Cornwall from the 9th of Aug (til 20th) and have had a look at motorsport in Cornwall. I have found a hillclimb at Castle on the 11th & 12th. Is this going to be worth having a look? Do you know of any other events? Or even is there a club meet I could attend?

Have a look at www.westfield-sw.co.uk in the events section to find out what is on. The hill climb is a good one and well worth going to watch

Buy cheap wet suits, a couple of boogie boards and kids will be happy as pig in s*&t no matter what the weather. Watergate bay is quite nice. Don't go to Rock on opposite side of river from Padstow burger and chips in the cafe there will set you back £16 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could not believe people will pay that price.

If there is a decent south wind the beach to the west of St Michaels mount will fill with Kitesurfers. I spend 2 hours watching them last year and I must admit it was very impressive.

If your kids are into technology, the Goonhilly satelite earth station (near lizard point) is open to the public, and is interesting as its a big site with 50 plus large satelite dishes. There is a visitors centre. They claim to have the worlds fastest internet link there as well if I remember correctly.
