Nice Dax BTW... I used to have a Cosworth Rush but the tiny triangular roll bar worried me too much to take it on the track.

peterg Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 1137cc was the standard Blackbird capacity when they were first produced in 1998ish, not sure if the later models had an increase though....
Andy @ Cat Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 At 1197 is that rebored, kinda b*******s my plans for a possible Class E assault weapon! this is a cheap car, Buy it and sell the 1197cc race engine. repace with a standard 1137cc with money left over.

You are correct 1197cc is a Mistral's big bore conversion (also runs higher compression) Andy is also spot on with his assessment... this car has lots of high spec bits for the money! The car is a carb model... but also has fuel lines run for injection engines... all you would need to do is swap engine / ECU / pump and fit a return to the fuel tank... Or you could always stick with carbs and its a straight swap. If i were swapping the engine for 1137cc then i would swap the Nova gearset into the standard engine (its a £1200 upgrade and well worth keeping!)
Guest Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 BTTT... The car will be at Anglesey 1st and 2nd September if anyone wants to come and veiw it there.
Asterix Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 At 1197 is that rebored, kinda b*******s my plans for a possible Class E assault weapon! Save for screen and tyres, thought yours already was a potential class E assault weapon (aren't you running a 1700cc Puma now)?
Guest Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 BTTT.... I need to sell this car now... open to offers (sensible ones considered... silly ones only good for a laugh ). Will be breaking the car if it doesn't sell soon... nearly the right time of year for upgrades so I will start getting a parts list together...
