On a similar thread, what will clean off the incredibly sticky adhesive used to hold the top of a front no plate on the bottom of the nose cone?  So far tried heat, Stanley blade, petrol, rice wine (29.5 proof), gentle sandpaper but nothing obviously effective. Any ideas?

methylated spirit, isopropyl alcohol i've used both to remove sticky residues
