Torque settings

Just spent an age looking up various torque sttingins and thought i'd post them here.

If anyone wants to correct me or add to the list, please do...

These are for a VX SEIW but im sure most are relevent

Front Lower ball joint (maxi type) to wishbone? 28lbf ft  38Nm

Front lower ball joint to upright? 25lbf ft 34Nm

Upright to steering track rod end? 28lbf ft 38Nm

Shock absorber bolts   30lb/ft

Calipers to standard uprights  40lb/ft

Hub to disc bolts   32lb/ft

Hub bearing bolt 27lb/ft then slack off till slight play

Rear calipers  35lb/ft

Cam cover bolts 7lb/ft

A comprehensive list of all torque settings for all models would be great in this section as people are always asking for them.

Perhaps one of our members from westfield could help out on this.

The difficulty is ensuring that the torques values listed apply to all models.

Example...

Is not right, if you have a Westfield with the factory 'pressed steel' uprights... :(

And of course, that we are clear exactly which fasteners the torque values refer too.

Example...

Does this apply to the caliper-carrier-to-upright bolts, or the caliper-to-carrier bolts?
