ACW Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Vail Colorado. Huge amount of snow and more on the way. States is gripped by bad weather and thats good for us ! Demo'd new skis - K2 Recons, 'kin great makes my poor skiing look almost acceptable. Ive not tried the K2 Recons how do they fair in powder are the wide enough for all mountain? I find demoing skis so dangerous, and its amazing how the technology changes in a couple of years to make you realise new skis can really improve your game. I brought the then just released Rosi Z9 Zenth Oversize towards the end of the season year b4 last. They ride deep powder real nice and soft enough for big bumps and a 12m radius. anyway about this gearbox ................... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Would they be list 1A or list 1B ski's and what compound Quote
Arm Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Its all the rage here; latest skis for a day then try something else. In reality they are all similar and its just personal choice. The K2 Recon is an all mountain ski and certainly worth a try. Im coming to the conclusion buying skis (we have countless) is just not worth it. Where are you going ? Quote
ACW Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I'm boring back to same ole - Banff for Skiing at Lake Louise and the killer Sunshine Village. Being out there 8 or 9 times so far, but its so good for the skiing and the rest of the craic. Got a friend of a friend that I regularly ski with out there who owns a few hotels and got a deal on an apartment hotel 3/4* for 4 weeks for 900 quid. Best I could get it for was 2.5K. Decided on a proper break this year - so I'm absolutely guaranteed to break something or hit a tree early on and crack my head open. Do you ski with a helmet ? every year more and more folks do, and I do worry about tree skiing without one, but you loose so much peripheral vision ? Quote
