cast iron Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Stew - We had that ruddy engine in on mounts with the gearbox and bellhousing fitted. It turned on the starter and the exhaust fitted, what changed I know its a wind up and I shouldnt rise to it but what the heck
stewart pickles Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 body work did not fit on top of it, engine is too far forword and engine is to high if i could get it back in tunnel just 50 mm engine would go under the bike bonnet. no wind up i have had enough.like i say mark it would be no problem with a wide tunnel.hell of an engine though, steel rods, solid lifters, all out of the box and vvt too wish i had a wide tunnel stew.
Buzz Billsberry Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 wish i had a wide tunnel stew. potentially so many jokes, so little time!!! I'm suprised you ain't gone at the tunnel with the grinder! Buzz

Terry Everall Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Stew - I think I may have an old but serviceable Meccano eletric motor somewhere in the garage. It should fit cos its only about 50mm cube from memory and probably has as much power as you can handle. Might need a different drive flange and prop but I know you are good with a welder. Let me know if interested ps Due to size and weight should be easy to put in - take out on a regular basis. Does Emma agree with all this "i will put it in and take it out " saga
