Enought to say that in a previous post I said that UK law is made up mainly of stated cases and the stated case with reference to the signature is: Lord Justice Kennedy in Francis v DPP Lord Justice Kennedy's reading of the law meant that every form had to be signed. Failure to sign now would result in a s.172 prosecution for "failing to provide the driver's identity". This is not made up by any Mags/SCP/Police/Govt. but by a Cheif Law Lord. Parliament provide the Acts of Law (Road Traffic Act 1988) and the Courts give the stated cases on how the ACT should be interpreted/applied - this then becomes LAW. PS I have nothing to do with SCP's Not as bored as I am The Idris Francis case was pretty important as it's the case where the Govt had to reinterpret the law to make their automatic speeding convictions work. Hence the "Failure to sign now would ..." as I mentioned a yesterday. Quote

Sorry................ I have been having a look on Pepipoo and they seem to think not and have several test cases recorded showing it. Anyway I have asked for the photo and will take it from there!
