Dave
Hi, I have finally got a SEIW after several months of looking at car's either outside my buget or passed the gates of that great scrap yard in the sky. i have a simple question, what specification of harnesses do I require for the speed / hill championship. 3 point, 4 point, width of belt and do they have to meet FIA spec and where can I get a set. Mark Stanton
For the WSCC Speed Series sprints and hillclimbs you only need the standard inertia belts - But I would not recommend them 99.9% of drivers use harnesses - both 3 or 4 point are o.k. Which one you need will depend upon the age of you car chassis - there are some fixing lugs just behind your seat at "head level(ish)". One fixing lug means a 3 point harness, two lugs means a 4 point harness. Hope this helps
ACW
Just to confirm what Mark says the important thing for sprints/climbs is that the staps are fitted securely and properly and are in good condition with no damage to stitching and webbing. Make sure there is no where for them to rub against stuff.
