CrashBangWallop Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Go on, Chaz... Postpone it for a week! Quote
chazpowerslide Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 Can't postpone it as the Goodwood Revival is the following weekend for which I have had tickets since March. Westfield live is also on the Goodwood weekend Chaz. Quote
Gavin Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Is this still going ahead Chaz ? If so do you have anymore details please ? Quote
chazpowerslide Posted August 12, 2006 Author Posted August 12, 2006 Yep it's still going ahead, I did all the mapping and got the clues yesterday (7 hours worth in total) and I've got some great roads for you guys drive on. We need about 15 to 20 cars to make it really interesting so keep the date free. More detalis to follow shortly on here and I'll Email the surrounding AOs soon. Chaz. Quote
ChrisF Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Sorry Chaz but I'm on holiday with the family for the bank holiday weekend Both Tam and I really enjoyed this event last year and we will be sorry to miss it this year Quote
langy Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I did all the mapping and got the clues yesterday (7 hours worth in total) and I've got some great roads for you guys drive on. I don't suppose the paying pasengers appreciated a 7 hour trip in a double decker, when they only wanted to get on for 2 stops I'll probably come down to the Lamb and Lion and meet you at the end Sean Quote
chazpowerslide Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 The final arrangements for next Sunday are as follows. All entrants for the treasure hunt need to be at Tesco Milton car park (opposite the recycling area) between 100am and 10:30am. Sigining on will be from 10:30am TO 10:45am and the event will start at 110am. VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THE NEXT BIT CAREFULLY. All entrants will need to bring with them (one per car) 1) Ordnance Survey Landranger Map No 154 (Cambridge & Newmarket and Saffron Walden) 2) A pen. The driving part of the event will last till 4pm by which time each car will need to have returned to the car park area of Milton Country Park where we will mark the event sheets give out the prizes. Due to the (possible) low numbers I have not been able to arrange a discount on food at the Lion and Lamb so we'll be pick-nicking at the Milton Country Park. So........ can you all bring a little something to throw into mix food and drink wise (pre-cooked as BBQs have been outlawed within the park) We have a little prize for all those that enter and slightly bigger prizes for first, second and third. I hope that as many of you guys can come along and if you're reading this from outside the Cambs area don't be shy and come along we don't bite. Chaz. Quote
