martini mike Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Scott Sorry I missed last night, it wasn't the weather that put me off. I didn't get home until gone 7pm, catch you at the next one... Mike Quote
scott beeland Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 Gotta say I don't blame anyone who stayed at home...We had rain in EPIC proportions Got a reasonable turn out of people; with the addition of 2 PHead 200sx and a TVR. Only one nutter in a Westfield (me ) and Mike in his Bowler Wildcat. A good few things discussed and one of the PHeaders is now seriously contemplating a westfield Mike M had us all fearing the worst for a minute. He was seen rocketing away from the meet in the Bowler (that thing is damn fast!!) then the bonnet flew up and we thought he was destined for the Armco (or another roll!!)...Good to know you got away with it mate. Got soaked on the way home (and I was in me duck suit too )...Get up this am and it's sunny Quote
budmikem Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 wasnt as exciting as going down Burrows Lane! Burrows lane the quietest lane in the world, a Jag X type Police came flying out on to East Lancs....just as I was setting up for a nice fast right turn into it....thought that was lucky....booted up the lane...came across a Police Riot van parked across road at first set of corners trying to turn around....thought that was lucky didnt T bone him....back on the gas....came across another Police car parked in middle of road......gave in after that! scott beeland Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 Very scary drive home for me. A bit wary after my spins on the way there (tired 32r's and dodgy geometry!). Loads of standing water and very heavy rain; so easy on the throttle was the only way. Happened upon the same gathering of police that also now included an ARV !! Quote
