Gavin Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 It's this morning guys Sorry about no replies from me been snobbing it with Pimms on the lawn at a posh wedding all day yesterday. Looks like it's going to be a cracking day. Thanks to you late comers. Quote
Gavin Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 A big thank you to everyone who turned up and thanks to DaveM for bringing along the marquee. I had a brilliant day, was very impressed with Duxford as I had never been before. I followed a couple of the Cambs guys back to Chaz's house where Chaz and Mark were very near to completion of Mark's car after his off at Mallory. Looks like the two of you have done a cracking job there, hope to see you on the road with it very soon Mark. Once again thanks for making it a brilliant day. Gav. Quote

Chris Elworthy Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Thanks Dave & Gav for arranging this, nice do, nice people and good route. Next year's diary already filling up - we need to get the word around to more car clubs for this promising event. Credit where its due too to Cobra Replica Club - they had a fantastic turn-out, and to North Yorkshire Lotus Owners Club for surely the furthest travelled. To everyone else, if you thought you had to do a lot of riveting to build your Westy, one visit to the Hangars at Duxford will put it all into perspective. Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 and to North Yorkshire Lotus Owners Club for surely the furthest travelled. There was a guy in a Jaguar XKR that had travelled down from Scotland and was returning the same day. He just fancied a trip out. I should have my photo's up tonight but, some are a bit arty. Here's how to donut in a tank. Donuts! Here's one of Mark, hard at work. Neil Quote
