Tigger Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 But the interesting thing to consider would be that if the car was at the speed of light then the rubber at the top of you wheels ( if they were propelling the car) would be going faster then the speed of light which they can't! hmmm Impossible yeah coz where would you find a road long enough to travel that speed? Also, who would want to travel in a straight line for that distance, bends are much more fun!! Quote
markcoopers Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I read somewhere recently that there's a genuine reason why us old b*******s lose our short term memory before our long term memory. But I can't remember what it was (and, sadly, that isn't a joke. I may even have posted this before). Oh, and edited to say that (long term memory kicking in here) at the speed of light time stops and you have infinite mass. Time stops is easy - set off at the speed of light from a clock reading 12 and you can never see it read one second after 12. But it seems that you couldn't see it anyway 'cos you would become your very own black hole can't grasp that bit That's Coliengenic pathways layed down between the cortex layers 111 and V, and is effected by use. In that established memories are well used pathways and thus do not have new neuron Gonglions attached and thus disrupted mamories. New memories are not so well established, and the enzyme (Colinegase, spelling) levels lower in the brain, thus the rate in which neuron conections are severed and memories layed down are slower.....thus we loose short term memory.
