Roman Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 Nice one how's it running now and did you have to do much to the engine? Good work BTW It's running not too bad, the dgas is obviously the wrong carb for the car, but with some careful throttle use it's very drivable. I did some work with the engine, but only as it was off the road. As I said before I had the car running as it stood with old petrol and everything. New fuel filter Fuel pipes Dizzy cap/rotor Oil change and filter Service kit for the carb Removed the choke flaps that had a mind of their own Spark plugs Adjusted timing The problem was I was look for bits to change instead of getting the car ready for the road. Bean Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 What a transformation, you did a damn fine job getting it looking like new. I can't believe it's the same car, you resprayed it didn't you Quote
Roman Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 No, got some one to detail it. There is a thread on here somewhere about it. Quote
Gromit Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Looking good. Always nice to see something back from the dead and in use again. Well done. Quote
blankczechbook Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 the wheels have polished up well good job... thats what we like to see - get it on the road on a budget - and then worry about changing bits as you break them / wear them out! Quote
