stussysoil
Just a quick question, do I need an operational windscreen washer bottle for an MOT? I have a windscreen with wiper blades and there are nozzle jets fitted on the scuttle facing the windscreen and there is even a switch to operate the washer bottle. When I bought the car however the bottle was not fitted. Chris
adhawkins
According to this page: It can be very frustrating to receive a failure for one empty washer bottle, a torn wiper blade and stop lamp bulb not working, not least illegal. so I suspect you do. Man On The Clapham Omnibus
Reasons for failure:- 3. The windscreen washers do not provide enough liquid to clear the windscreen... MOT Testers' Manual Obviously a bottle is essential to that requirement, sorry.

stussysoil
Right then, better keep hold of the bottle, was planning on getting rid of it during a general garage clear out on fleabay. Just got to rig it up for the MOT at some point then, I think the original fixings now have a catch tank in its place. Cheers
