juansolo Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Although techically it's a Ford GT not a Ford GT40 as Ford sold the rights to that name years ago. I'll get my coat. Quote

Peter Cox Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 45 without surfing or reading this thread. I do think 25 model should be 5 gt turbo, not just 5 turbo. No idea what the Lancia in 21 is (I was sure it was a beta monte carlo but no it seems). Couldn't get the Merc or Rolls models in 13 and 14. 6 though, completely loses me (tho' I suspect it will become blindingly obvious as soon as I read this thread). Quote
Peter Cox Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 saw this elsewhere and one of the main problems is calling using the "right" name.....like Mini Cooper ISTR, not BMW Mini...or whatever! ah..ha! Quote
Peter Cox Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 2/50, and I'm not embarrassed to admit it s'ok...we'll find you a football or beer quiz next Quote
samcooke Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I do think 25 model should be 5 gt turbo, not just 5 turbo. I thought the GT turbo was the front-drive-lady-car 205 GTi competitor and the turbo the original wide boy rear driver. Quote

Now maybe we can start arguing about the Gordini nom-de-guerre. Quote

I thought the GT turbo was the front-drive-lady-car 205 GTi competitor and the turbo the original wide boy rear driver. The 5 GT turbo was the front drive one, the rear/mid engine rear drive was the turbo 2, and the rear/mid engine 4WD was the maxi turbo IIRC. There was also the Gordini turbo that predated the GT turbo. You will recall it only had 3 wheelnuts per wheel. I got 50 but not until I worked out how pedantic they were, especially for the mini.
