pistonbroke Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Driven mine often at 70 -80 ( ish officer ) on motorways and have found the locks to be undone when Iv'e checked later. never blew off though Is the lockable bonnet more secure Quote
slippy Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 Sorry to hear that mate. Can it definately not be repaired? What's the lead time on a new one? If its any consolation, my car hasn't seen daylight since October and probably won't for at least another week. Spoke to our very own Afur Daley and he said repairing them is a fooking ball ache and it would be a shame not to be in keeping with rest of the car even if it is track mobile £250 of our finest and probably a few weeks wait but at least it's driveable Quote
V 8 Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Don't worry slip, I ve only owned 2 Westfields, & I've lost the bonnet on both of them, and.....both on the track to facilitate the maximum pi55 taking Tommo Quote
slippy Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 Thankfully our only audience was an old dear in a focus who drove past with a 'What the fook is that thing' expression on her mush Quote

funbobby Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Another good story though is Slippy pulling up outside his house leaving the keys in the ignition to pick up his bro's laptop charger. He returned to the door o find his car which was (ahem) a pug 406 estate diesel was not there. He thought someone had nicked it until he saw it down the road, ( a slight hill) his motor in the front end of a neighbours Polo. He'd forgotten to put the handbrake on. he turned up at mine and said "ere Bob, ive had a fookin mare" Quote
