thos Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Havent seen a link elsewhere: http://www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/news_detail.asp?id=77 One piece nose and bonnet. Anyone got more details photos ? They mention it's retrofittable. Quote

slippy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Get your jigsaw out and nick the A*** end of an elise/renault spyder and bobs your uncle Quote
jedi Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 i had a good look at that a while ago at the factory (i know a man who knows a man) i think the front is smart but the rear looks a bit dodgy, and i told them. Quote
thos Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Just found the other thread alright. The rear end is dodgy alright, but looks like you can keep the standard rear and put the new front on. Quote
Glen H Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Factory Photo's from last week. (sent by Westfield) Quote
Al Yupright Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Doesnt look too shabby. The front vents and nose vent remind me of a roswell alien though! Wonder how much extra it costs too! Quote
pistonbroke Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Think it could grow on yer , like the Ka did after seing a few on the road ? don't look twice at em now ! The rear has a lot of plus points , I like the fuel filler , its much better placed for gravity fill and that lip could give a bit more protection from a rear ender ! Looks like rear vis is better to The boot box is remote from the rollover bar so should be dry? and it makes a good parcel shelf. Forgot to add that it looks as if it opens the "right way " too. Those lights do nothing for it IMO. Quote
TrevP Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 like poistonbroke says it could grow on you,but i'm not sure about the top lip it looks like someone decided they didnt like a spoiler and squashed it. At least they are trying something different just hope it is not the finished product. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It is sort of growing on me, I'm curious as to how a roof would fix to the rear decking though. And the new nose design doesn't make fitting the traditional intake trumpets/air filters through the side that easy. Though, I guess that's perhaps missing the point. Still, love it or loathe it, good to see Westfield keeping moving forwards and trying new ideas for styling, not just the oily bits. Quote
Blatman Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I like it too. But I also liked the FW400 that (I assume) spawned it. If I ever need to rebody my wide, I'll be looking very seriously at that Quote
