salty_monk Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Not 4 pot either but I know a guy fitting a Nissan Turbo V6... should be around 350 bhp as standard on aftermarket ECU.... Quote
salty_monk Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Not 4 pot either but have you thought about Nissan Turbo 3l V6, guy I know is working on fitting one of those, should be 350 bhp ish as standard with aftermarket ECU.... Also what about the Scooby engine? May be too big but I know there are now kits available to get them into Beetles & transporters.... Perhaps they are too tall, nothing a dry sump couldn't sort out though... Quote

Perhaps they are too tall, nothing a dry sump couldn't sort out though... I think they may be too wide as they're flat 4s. If we are departing from 4-cyl and want something leftfield then I'd have a long look at a w**kel. Mark Quote

Potentialy they are awsome units with huge power potential and low weight. Will investigate further Quote
Blatman Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 PM Bill Shurvinton. He'll see you right with rotary info Quote
oioi Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 if i was looking to do something different for big power would definately go for a rotary Quote
cng1 Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Transaxle at the back, torque tube forward to the w**kel. Low CofG, weight nicely central and well back. Potential for 400bhp+ Lovely. Quote
