dern Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Track Mania It's quite a big download but an excellent arcade game. Time trial in a single seater but with either relatively sane tracks or insane jumps and loops. A game pad would make it easier than keys. Regards, Mark Quote
Richgm Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Fun game. Well worth a 256meg download if you want a fun arcade style driving game. Was featured on Motors3D tonight funnily enough. Quote
dern Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 Was featured on Motors3D tonight funnily enough. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it Quote
adhawkins Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I saw it there too. Not sure I like the bizarre courses they were showing. Setting a decent time seemed all to dependant on knowing where all the short cuts were. Is there a bog standard circuit racing mode then? Andy Quote
dern Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 Is there a bog standard circuit racing mode then? It's a time trial games very much like the licence sections in gran turismo if you've played that. The tracks get more and more complex and if you go on to the internet servers they can just get downright weird. There's no circuit racing mode. Quote
Richgm Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Is there a bog standard circuit racing mode then? It's more like sprinting than circuit racing. There seems to be a track editor (haven't tried it yet) so you could design your own less wierd tracks. If you want a proper racing game go buy GT legends. Rich Quote
adhawkins Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 If you want a proper racing game go buy GT legends. Got that. Made a start on it, just won my first V8 series I think. Moved over to play Toca2, but getting a little bored with that cos it's a bit easy... Andy Quote
Richgm Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Go Mini racing with GTL online. Always have a good fun doing that. edited to get round rationing Quote
adhawkins Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Where's the laugh smiley It's been rationed. We obviously gone through our quote already this month. That was quick. Andy Quote
Richgm Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 It's been rationed. I've just got some more on the black market Quote
wrighty Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I dont suppose anyone has the cheats for toca 3 on the ps2 Quote
adhawkins Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I never could see the point of cheats in a game... I was reading about a guy who was stuck in Half Life 2 recently (mild spoilers below....) He was stuck at a section where you have to use the physics engine to make a ramp for the airboat to jump over. After several people trying to help him, it turned out he didn't have the airboat. People were then trying to figure out how he got to where he did without it (because it would have involved wading through the toxic sludge which should have killed him). It turned out he always played this sort of game in 'God mode'. What's the point? Andy Quote
