Factors Ford Water Pump £25.79 £49.71 Timing Belt £16.54 £35.60 Head Gasket Set £33.39 £69.69 Head Bolts £6.90 £28.10 all prices + VAT Motor factors have been around for a long time and are a large company. Most westfields are driven to extreme...well mine is anyway and I only relay on a the best quality parts to keep it together. My car has had over £20k of development and I won't compromise the build quality on cheap parts. For example, if the timing belt is a 'Gates', then chances are they also make them for Ford - as they do for a lot of other manufacturers... Thanks I'd recommend a cam belt kit if it's going onto a used engine, the tensioning pulleys on a zetec are plastic & should be replaced at cambelt time. A kit is approx 70 quid. A mate had one disintegrate on him last week, he was lucky though & the engine was fine after a new belt kit was fitted, but it's luck of the draw.... Echo what the other say regarding the manufacturers, if it's gates, you're fine, otherwise ford may be a better option. Cheers, Mark. In the aftermarket those same companies will supply the same product without the OE label at a cheaper price. So a quick list is as follows LUK clutches Gates timing belts SKF bearings waterpumps AC delco, bosch, rotating electrics TRW (lucas) braking products Delphi (the old ap ) steering suspension etc Timken bearings AE engine parts Mahle Engine parts Ferodo Mintex Valeo rads and rotating electrics Now to complicate things some other companies are reboxers of product made by OE suppliers, lots of wheel cylinders are made in italy to OE spec and are then sold here, for example, reputable reboxers are Firstline who have excellant quality control, there are others I would trust and many other well known brands I would not trust. The company I work for supplies every motor factor in the country with parts, except those who we won't for commercial reasons and supply £millions to the aftermarket with little warranty issues. There are cheap brands available from China and India but if some one offers you a wheel cylinder for a couple of pounds ask yourself how they could have made it for that money and shipped it halfway around the world? If you buy from most reputable motorfactors they will be able to tell you if the parts are from an OE supplier scource if they are unable to do so think twice or email me.
