Hi Paul,

Any news on which silencers have been sent over the weekend?  

Sorry to be a pain but I was very close to the noise limit on Saturday - 105 db's and it's 100db I need to make in 10 days time  I'm worried.

Finally got my cams/solid lifters timed and shimmed over the weekend and went for a brief 3 miles last evening for a test drive. Didn't really give it any pedal but the new exhaust is realy quiet compared to my old system, it feels like it wants to rev too. All the noise I could hear when I was in the car was induction!

Finally got around to dropping mine off today and it won't be ready until next week

Yep. Once I've got a clutch solution next week we're going to HAVE to get the engine back in and working before the summer runs out. Planned events for 2006 are coming and going fast

Got my new can today, well impressed with the quality, its certainly a whopper but looks like it will fit without any mods to the manifold or wheel arch

mine arrived today just in time as iam off to northampton motorsports  in the morning to get engine set up.

so its been sort of fitted and sounds great

Well I've just had a chance today to get some pics of my exhaust from Simpsons.

They say that mine was the only "Low Exit" system they have done and I must say it looks lovely.

The downpipes run VERY close to the side diagonal of the chassis so I may have to do a bit of grinding but otherwise very pleased.

I dropped it off on Tuesday (pm) and had it back by Friday (pm) which was damn quick me thinks.

Have noticed some cans have brushed effect and some are polished, is this a choice option
