geofff
Hi Scoobie, That's why I bought the car I was talking to a mate of mine yesterday and he was talking about some 'old new' stock being held by a local scrap merchant 'hoarder'. My mate should be giving him a call sometime over Xmas. If I here of any appropriate diffs I'll shout. Ta Geoff
a4gom
T plate 1978 or 1999?
geofff
Hi a4gom, I don't think the Sierra was being produced in 1999. Most definitely '78. Ta Geoff
Steve R
I don't think the Sierra was made as early as '78 either...
Boomy
Sierra was launched in 82.Y reg although not sure if any X reg's crept in, if they did they were rare. I'm guessing the sierra is a G reg (89/90) as that sounds like and is closest to the letter T on the keyboard Could be a D reg though too i suppose, 86/87. geofff
DOH! I think it's a 'Y' plate. Will double check when I get home. It has stupidly low mileage because of the old boy who was running it round. Sorry. Totally forgot the letter is at the other bl00dy end. DOH! Ta Homer P.S. You might be able to tell I'm presently going cold turkey on caffeine - doctors orders Mind you, she also said I had to cut out alcohol, sugar, stop running take up swimming, drink more water and take vitamin C supplements. Hah!........I'm going back to sleep now.

geofff
Only makes a few mph difference as far as I can tell in normal road driving. My mate who followed me in a 2L astra said I was getting 75 according to his speedo on the way back. I wasn't maxxing the revs either.
