OK my list, Ford Anglia Imp, for a fortnight, all the oil ended up in the radiator! Cortina Spitfire Mk3 Another MK3 spit Mk1 Escort sport MGBGT BMW 1602 BMW316 another 316 and another 316 Going downhill... Toyota Corolla, reliable to the end! ran for 18 months quite happily on ten valves after a cambelt breakage> Toyota Starlet, present wifemobile Nissan Sunny, also been as reliable as.. for the past five years or so.. Must change it next year! Toybox cars: Another Spitfire, 1500 more or less totally rebuilt. Got sick of battling with rust, so swapped it for a Porsche 924. No rust, very solid car, but a pig to work on, and some parts a bit pricey! Sold the Porsche to finance the present Westy starter kit. Quote

felters Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 In 34 years of Motoring quite a lot of these overlap each other. I seem to get twitchy if I own less than two cars at a time. Starting in 1971 Ariel 600 sidevalve plus chair - passed motorbike test on it. BSA 250 Suzuki 50 Meriden Triumph Bonneville 750 (they deservedly went bust) Ducati 750ss a couple of Morris Minors Suzuki 250 trail bike 1980's Guzzi LeMans 850 A long line of Ford and Vauxhall company cars Capri 2.8i BMW320i BMW318i Porsche 911 2.7 911 SC BMW318i Touring 1990's Volvo 760 Estate Golf VR6 (nice drive but most unreliable thing I've owned) Merc E230 Estate Alfa Romeo 155 TS Porsche 911 Carrera Land Rover SII V8 Hybrid Merc SL500 - three of them Merc E280 Estate 2000's Golf TDI Merc 280GEL Subaru Impreza Daihatsu Fourtrak Merc E320 Estate (current) Westy SEI 4AGE Land Rover Defender 110TD5 Disco TD5 Westy MegaBlade (current) Volvo V70 T5 (current) In summary: I like big Mercs, 911's and Defenders. The three cars we have now are all "a good thing" although the T5 does like a drink I've also missed out a load of Formula Fords and Autograss cars - mainly Nova's... Quote
