Will I fit in?

Hi everyone.  This is my first post and I've joined up because I'm thinking about buying a Westfield kit.  Actually, I've been thinking about buying a Westfield (or something similar) for about as long as I can remember!  And , whilst I might have reached the stage when I can afford one, I'm also at the stage when I've got to wonder- will I fit in?

My question therefore is - is there a Westfield owner out there, not to far from Harrogate, Leeds or Bradford, who might let me have a trial sit? - this is a particularly pertinent question in that I have something of a stiff back and some surplus lbs.  It would be particularly distressing to visit the factory (chequebook in hand) and suffer the ignomony of being unable to get in the wretched thing!  I'm obviously looking for a current wide-bodied Westfield without a full cage.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there

Unfortunately I'm nowhere near your part of the world but at 6'4" and nearly 16 stone I fit fine in a SEIW. Your seat choice will be critical if you have a back problem though. Probably best to go to a local meet and sit in several different cars. They'll be happy to let you try one for size

Good luck!

...and don't use the windscreen to help yourself get in/out, some have cracked theirs doing this  :0

Probably worth popping down to Plays-Kool in Bradford. He is one of leading Westfield specialists.

They will always have a couple of cars in with different seat types... and maybe body widths.

Also a very nice bloke who you will need to know when you get one.

Call him on 01274 680100

Tricky bit is whether you can get your legs under the steering wheel

I am Yorkshire Area Organiser .

Give me a ring on 07767836234 anytime and I will sort something out for you when I know your height/weight. I also have a very bad back!

We'll it's good news I can fit in! And, even better, I can get out too - without needing an engine hoist!  So a big thank you to John Hoyle in Harrogate and to Terry Everall for sorting it out for me.  Went to Play's Kool too and had a sit in one up there.  Will start a new thread about engine choice soon and join the WSCC and try not to get too excited ...! :D
