LiamR Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Hi. Cant see the link, but I have an 2004, A4 130 Sport (Saloon). I have don 50k since new, and overall I love it. Good things - Looks, Handling, overall build quality. Bad things - Slow (Can't chip it as it is a co car, and I don't want to take the risk), Very spartan on the equipment front - my mates love to remind me that on a £25k car I have windy back windows!, It has a VERY noisy air con system, that sound as though you are driving an a gale, it is also a bit random and changes itself from time to time, even when not on 'Auto'. And it had been back to the dealer 4 or 5 times since new, due to small niggly things - like the arm rest breaking, and an air bag failing, and the rear folding seats jamming. The slowness thing was anoying, but that is what started me down the Westie route, so not all bad! As I said, overall, I still love it, and if I were changing again, I woud have another. Quote
Eastern_Westie Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Bad things - Slow (Can't chip it as it is a co car, and I don't want to take the risk) Liam - you don't need to "chip" these days. Take a look at a Revo (Google Revo Audi). An agent basically puts the Revo firmware onto the existing chip (which is TOTALLY invisible to Audi), and then you plug a small device (called an SPS) into the diagnostic socket in the dash. You press a button and Hey Presto! you have more BHP/torque. One of the SPS devices allows you to select from a number of presets, so you can change it back to standard whenever you want eg You set it to standard when you take it for a service, or when the missus borrows the car Quote
LiamR Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 ummm - I must catch up with technology!!! Now you've got me thinking..... Cheers! Quote
