nlash
Just a reminder, November meet is this Thursday at Ye Olde Saracens Head, Balsall Common. Normally the Nov meet is for our rather laid back area AGM so if you have any issues you would like to discuss, please come along and have your views aired. One major issue to be discussed will be my replacement for 2006. It was a year ago that I said i'd take on the role and "have a go" for 12 months. To be honest, being an AO is not that easy. It is difficult really to please everyone within a club membership and together with juggling a full time career and other commitments, finding the time to give the area the attention it deserves is something I can't continue to give. However, what time I did find to set up events and meets has been very enjoyable and I can wholeheartedly say that for the right kind of person willing to have a go next year, he or she will enjoy socialising and organising for, a great bunch of people. I will be holding the fort for the remainder of the year, so anyone wishing to come along to the Christmas meal on the 15th December, and have not yet paid a deposit to me and selected from the menu, they will have their final opportunity at this coming meet. I hope we have a few more takers for this enjoyable night. Bye for now See you Thursday Nige
KerryS
Think we may wait 'til next year for the Derby/Notts re-visit, Nige, still drying out after the last attempt. Hope group stays together and new AO gets voluteered. Kerry
