Martin Keene Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 Can I just say how Gentlemanly this is being discussed. I though about this post for a good 12-15 hours before posting it, because I was unsure how people would response to it. Thanks for discussing so reasonably. I don't mean to sound partronising or anything, but we have had a few topics go off course lately due to mis-understandings. <!--emo& [pathetic attempt at irony] ...are you patronising me? Martin Keene Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 Money does funny things to people, and some people like to talk about it far too much IMO Very true, I have know a few people over the years who were always sure life owed them something. I would also never begrudge anybody who has worked for what they have good luck to them. I also happen to know that through unfortunate circumstances and career choice, that I will never end up in the top brackets of this poll. But, they are decisions I made and I have no problem with living with them. Or gullible. You're assuming people are voting honestly, despite knowing that we're an irreverent bunch at the best of times. And no, I haven't voted... Hmm, yeah, fatal assumption made there! You know what they say about assuming things...
Mark Stanton Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I also happen to know that through unfortunate circumstances and career choice, that I will never end up in the top brackets of this poll. All that really matters is that your healthy and happy.................... wealth does not buy the important things in life Secret of success..... is knowing when you're happy

michaelcoombs Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 while I’m in the habit of posting Monty Python lyrics this evening... Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing. And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death Just before you draw your terminal breath Life's a piece of s**t When you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all a show Keep 'em laughing as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the right side of life... (Come on guys, cheer up) Always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the bright side of life... (Worse things happen at sea, you know) Always look on the bright side of life... (I mean - what have you got to lose) (You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing) Always look on the right side of life...
