Aahh, the end of another week :suspect:

Kerry,

Is there any further news from WF?

Well try it! I think it's easier to do than read about, once you get stuck in...

Might just do that

What sort of news do you want? Last post on progress was about it for a bit.

I think I might be the mystery number 9. I've been following this thread for a little while, with only partial interest until I saw what a great deal WF were offering, thanks to you guys. So I weakened after passing SVA on Monday. Currently awaiting Reg No told it could be a couple of weeks!

Kerry - haven't wrecked mine yet :) you can take a backup of the ecu (which is a rather handy thing to have anyway I suppose) before you change anything. Once the engine is setup there's not really anything massively useful to be learnt from the software, however, if you want useless data, then it's second to none (except maybe the razor I have that tells you how long your last shave was). For example, as a result of SVA my engine has spent 2 seconds at 7200 rpm...

First post and you're spending money :D

Marvellous - hope it goes well for you. What build have you got at the moment? If it's a module build registration can be done same day as SVA if you get your ducks lined up in a row, so to speak.

Hi Kerry

Yes I know barely driven the thing and I'm thinking of upgrades already. My intention is to not fit the TB's perhaps until next autumn......hmm bet I wont be able to resist that long. Mark didn't seem to think it would be a problem if I approached them a bit later than yourselves re getting the ECU remapped.

Yes it was one of the Madness kits, so collected all in one go rather than individual modules. The main problem with registration was there examiner was out on leave.

Hi tutty

That's good. I had assumed that the deal worked in batches, but it would appear not. I guess WF want to see their development time paid for by the first batch and further orders make profit? Dunno, just guessing but it's good news for other WSCC members.

Edited to correct typos that are inevitable after a Friday night's alchohol of the grape variety  or is it  :D  or  :t-up:

Hi all

Just been thinking about this and wondered if we have a full list of the bits WF will supply in the kit and anything we will need to re-use from the existing set-up.   No doubt it will all become clearer as we get nearer the dleivery date.

I guess I will definitely need an oil catch pot now as the crankcase is ventilated to the ford plenum.

Really looking forward to getting started on this upgrade :D

I think I have 2 breather hoses on mine, one goes to the plenum and the other to atmosphere, or in my case a high density plastic bottle, which I know isn't good enough, but I have never seen anything in  it.

Dear TB upgraders

Some may be aware that my car is currently at Westfield having the throttle body upgrade put on. Now some of may wonder why, and when you are going to  get your throttle body kits.

I have mentioned previously that WF need to do some development but without a suitable car I offered mine for their use.

The advantages of this are:

- the other 9 purchasers should get something that should work out-of-the-box  :)

- we don't have to wait until a suitable car happens to be going through the factory  :)

Disadvantages are:

- I don't get the fun of installing the kit

- I am without my car for a few days

- I got wet taking the car there and the wiper blade fell off

See! The sacrifices I make for you lot!!

If any of you have queries over delivery, please call Mark at WF.

Kerry

Any mention from Mark of a list of parts and what will be re-used from the  the current set up. ?
