I built this car myself using new or recondition parts. The main exceptions being the gearbox, rear diff & front wheel bearings all of which after close inspection I could find no reason to change. The gearbox & diff were filled with good quality redline oil & fitted after painting. The car has given me much enjoyment since starting the build through to today. Thats what working 7 days a week does for you I suppose. Our best chance of days off/ away is between Nov & Feb not really westy friendly unfortunately. At the moment torn between building a GTM spyder which will mean a year driving Jo's saxo or getting a vx220 turbo. Test drove a vx today slower than westy but still good fun. either way need to sell the westy unfortunately How is dean getting on with his new Job & can we still come to the party even though we are turncoats! Build another westy yes would love to but it won't be untill I can afford to run two cars as well as the van.
