billywizz Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Has anyone ever thought about a fibre glass hard top? Quote
billywizz Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 Only reason I ask is that I am about to invest in a Westie, but it will be my only means of transport so was thinking about those winter months commuting. Quote
Blatman Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 The factory actually made one, maybe two... Have a look at this... Quote
geelhoed Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Westy's my only transport. Not such a big problem, heater is powerful enough! In the rain you'll have bigger problems than a wet hairdo! Quote
MAT1800 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Not that bad an idea... I guess you could always stick it in the boot!! Check out the various 'roofs' on this site if you're after something a bit different. Click No fibre glass roofs, but some nice looking bits. Also heard a lot of good reports about their products. Mark Stanton Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 So you buy an open top 2 seater sports car and then wanna put a roof on it What time would you like your taxi Quote
billywizz Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 NO, I buy an open toped 2 seater sports car to use in the summer, Want to use it in the winter as well. Whats the point of having a car that sits in the garage for 6 monts of the year Quote
oioi Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 no point in having the car sat in the garage (no point in a roof either) but a good excuse for me to dig out this photo Quote
blankczechbook Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 as for a roof; IMO don't think its worth it just for temp benefits. - but for the rain it's almost justifiable except when the clouds clear does the solid roof roll up? - no. when its that cold - or colder; no roof is best. thermal hat, thermal gloves, thermal longjohns (-20 Cel no worries) winter tyres too?? i may try them out this winter...
