For 1500 I would want someone to shoot it for me...

Ask in the right places - and I'm sure you could get someone shot for 1500 ??????

forget the new stuff. buy a cheap 2nd hand 20 guage ou with fixed chokes get it fitted and shortened (keep the off cuts from the stock to stick back on) get the chokes moderated to the ammo u will always use suggest size 8 with plaswads  be certain comb height is correct and have the remaining stock lead loaded to rebalance and reduce percieved recoil  get the trigger worked to give a lightish pull and dont push him too hard

Matt :D  :D

Rich - Rod Stewart's was a cover version  :D  :D original done by Roy C  :D a few years before  :D  :D

Oh well I'm not old enough to remember the original.

Im not old enougth to remember that one either, Billy idol done a cover if I remember correctly  :p

Nope,

Billy Idol did 'Nice day for a White Wedding', and teh Blues Brothers did 'Shotgun Blues' (cheerful song, but that's the blues for you).

$1600 for a tube with a hammer at the end? Crikey!

Although compared with a pair of Purdeys, it's a bargain :)

Ah, the Baikal. My first gun was one of those, an OU with exquisite (  :arse: ) engraving on the lock!! The engraved bird looked like a pigeon that had hit a bridge at full tilt but it surprised many 'snob' shooters with its handling and accuracy! The stock itself was beautifully made and compensated for the unbelievably naff engraving.

steve about six months after i had engine failure and had to row a boat with mine i was invited to a charity clayshoot for macmillan cancer relief!

i turned up with my rusty baikal looking like a tramp, i was covered in dust and pheasant s**t and the gun would hardly open because i had left it in the safe wet, it was that bad i had to break it over my knee :D

a chap clad in a browning vest festooned with badges came up behind me at the first stand and proceeded to tell me how to shoot :D

i won the open and won the pool , the look on his face was priceless :D  :D

Have to agree with the above, what you spend doe'snt always make you shoot any better.

But, having shot everything from pistols at 10m in the back yard to '50cal sniper rifles at 1mile I've always bought the best I can afford. That way you elliminate poor mechanical performance from the equation leaving only humun error.  :)

Like everything in life you get what you pay for, Baikal make good gun and 'ores, berrata/browning make good guns and show peices...

Regardless of the weapon, my shotgun skills are a joke - I'm much better with a pistol or rifle. Siboy and I used to do field target shooting - he was particularly good at it!
