stu999 Posted November 17, 2003 Author Posted November 17, 2003 Update here. The first thread has now been closed as it was 'getting out of hand'. And check out the vote here. I think it's gonna get worse before it gets better...... Quote

Mark Stanton Posted November 17, 2003 Posted November 17, 2003 Blooody elll Hope it don't go members only If it does we could end up with some of em over here and if its the same minority that have ruined it for the blats brigade then the same minority could simply transfer themselves to here or the RHOC boardroom Quote
Nick M Posted November 17, 2003 Posted November 17, 2003 Mark - I wouldn't be surprised if the people who have spoilt Blatchat recently are actually fully paid up members of the L7C. To be honest you could see it coming - there are some quite powerful personalities over there which seem to clash with others. Add in the usual belief that anything without a Caterham badge is rubbish / slow / to be derided and you have all the ingredients for SMF (single marque forum) melt-down. Quote
stu999 Posted November 17, 2003 Author Posted November 17, 2003 and if its the same minority that have ruined it for the blats brigade then the same minority could simply transfer themselves to here or the RHOC boardroom and then A few comments like "A Cateringvan is merely an underdeveloped, expensive Westy", and "I think the Birkin is also a direct decendant of the Lotus 7" will weed 'em out! V7 SLR Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Can't really defend what I wrote in that thread because I meant it. That chap winds me up a treat, and coupled with the effort the BC webmaster had put into the forum to make it precisely what it is, was plain wrong IMO. Had I wanted to remain a member of L7 club or remained at large on the site (I want neither) I may have toned down my comments but I took a decision to burn my bridges. There's more of course. He doesn't like his local AO because he drives a Westfield but that didn't wind me up. We've clashed before. Sorry if it has coloured anyone's opinion of me. I promise I won't be such an A*** here. stu999 Posted November 18, 2003 Author Posted November 18, 2003 I promise I won't be such an A*** here. Hopefully mate, you wont need to be. *group hug* Quote

Your welcome on here Nigel We're all grown up enough to enjoy a good wind up and not take offence And boy have we had some good wind ups Quote

oioi Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Sorry if it has coloured anyone's opinion of me. I promise I won't be such an A*** here. coloured my opinion of you? i thought you were an before you spat your dummy out. Quote
Fat Albert Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Westy, that's precisely the point I'll bet Chairman Keith hasn't considered who is going to maintain the system annually, with 300ish memberships a month expiring, renewing late, etc. the work to manage who can post won't be insignificant and I wouldn't be suprised if the membership list is maintained using traditional methods V7SLR No offence mate, it just seemed out of character Quote
